Iran expressed concern about the nuclear activities of the Saudis

At a meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, Iran drew world attention to safeguards issues in connection with the nuclear activities of Saudi Arabia, said the Permanent Representative of Iran to Vienna-based international organizations Kazem Garibabadi. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. On the very first day of the meeting, journalists asked many questions to the IAEA director general, asking him to discuss the agency's plans to oversee Saudi nuclear activities, an Iranian diplomat said. He also noted that representatives of member states made more than 50 speeches about the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, known as the JCPOA. With the exception of the United States, Israel, as well as one or two Arab countries, most states emphasized the need to maintain the hard-won multilateral nuclear agreement with Iran, Garibabadi said. According to him, the meeting participants sharply criticized the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA.
