Social Insurance Fund of Kazakhstan pays $173 million to doctors
The Social Health Insurance Fund of Kazakhstan (FSMS) paid medical workers allowances in the amount of 73.7 billion tenge ($173 million). This was announced on September 24 by the chairman of the board of the fund Bolat Tokezhanov at a briefing. This amount was paid according to the results of March-August 2020. The money was received by doctors involved in anti-epidemiological measures. In August, the fund paid 17 billion tenge ($40 million). According to the news agency, on September 23, deputy of the Majilis (parliament) of Kazakhstan Zauresh Amanzholova said that only 14.3% of doctors infected with coronavirus received a lump sum social payment.
