Among the largest settlements in Italy, the most severe economic consequences of the coronacrisis will be for Turin, Venice and Genoa, according to a study by the National Association of Cities (Anci), published on Wednesday, June 17. According to their estimates, the revenue of enterprises located in these cities in 2020 will decrease by 11.8% (under a positive scenario) or 16.4% (under a negative one). For Italy as a whole, these figures are even higher, respectively, at 12.7 per cent and 18 per cent. At the end of April 2020, the number of actual detected cases of coronavirus began to decline in Italy. Citizens were advised to minimize all optional contacts, checks were carried out on the streets, fines for quarantine violators were increased. Multibillion-dollar losses are projected for the economy due to the lack of tourists and a decrease in production and exports; at the end of the year, GDP will decrease by 10 15%, experts say, the country's authorities believe that the fall will be 8 9%. Government projects to support the economy involve the allocation of 7 5 billion euros, part of these funds has already been allocated.
